Once you have defined your cost scheme and also defined the ex-ante costs for your custodian banks, you can – as an alternative to the comprehensive analysis options in Infront Portfolio Manager – also calculate the ex-ante costs of an order directly in the web interface. To do this, follow these steps:
-
Click the "Ex-ante output" on the start page of the "MiFID II - Cost Service".
-
On the "Ex-ante output data" page, first select the bank, securities account and securities configuration in the upper left corner. If you manage many securities accounts, the filter function allows for a quick selection.
-
In the "Data input" area, use the two drop-down lists to specify the account currency and the trading currency.
-
Enter the ISIN of the security to be ordered.
-
In the "Quantity/nominal" field, enter the number of units you want to order.
-
In the "Last price" field, enter the current price of the security.
-
Define the investment horizon below. Use the integrated calendar below.
-
Start the cost calculation with the "Calculate" button.
On the right side of the window, you then see all ex-ante costs of the order broken down by cost category and type.
In the results, you see the most important order data – security, ISIN and investment horizon – summarised in the upper right corner. With the "Expand all" buttons, you can also display the individual cost elements for each cost type.
